Earlier this week, customers reported the Grants.gov website was operating slowly or experienced time out errors when downloading and submitting applications. The Grants.gov program management office believes that this was an isolated incident and a fix was implemented last evening. We appreciate your patience as we worked through the issue.

The Grants.gov Program Management Office has been notified by the System for Award Management (SAM) Program Management Office that there could be potential issues with NEW SAM.gov registrations. The following message has been posted to the SAM.gov and FSD.gov homepages:
ALERT: Do not begin a new registration in SAM today Wednesday, 22 May 2013. A technical issue may prevent you from submitting the new registration. GSA will update this notice later today with more information. This issue only impacts new registrations and not migrated registrations and updates.
As Grants.gov receives additional information, this message will be updated.
Back by popular demand, the General Services Administration will be hosting an encore session to the webinar held on May 15th. During that session, grantees were given instructions on how to create new System for Award Management (SAM) accounts; migrate their accounts from Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to SAM; and, update/renew an existing registration.The encore webinar will be held on Monday, June 3 at 2 p.m. and will continue to focus on GRANTEES previously registered in CCR.If you are interested in registering for the upcoming session, please visit: http://www.gsa.gov/portal/content/171503.
UPDATE (May 10, 2013): Please note that the Training environment (ONLY) will be undergoing maintenance an additional day. The new dates for maintenance on the training environment will be Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at 12:01AM (EST) through Monday, May 20th, 2013 at 11:59PM (EST).

The Grants.gov Program Management Office (PMO) will conduct system maintenance on the Production and Training AT07 environments from Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at 12:01AM (EST) through Sunday, May 19th, 2013 at 11:59PM (EST).
The PMO recommends that no application submissions or activity take place during this two-day maintenance period.Please be aware that the system may appear to be available to users during this time; however, it will not be fully operational.

Entities whose SAM records expired between March 16, 2013 and March 24, 2013 will receive a 30 day extension. If affected, you should receive an email from GSA.

Some components of SAM.gov are temporarily unavailable. Users will not be able to register a new entity or update an entity record until Entity Management is available at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25. GSA currently is strengthening security measures to protect user information.
The security of SAM registrants’ information is a top priority for the agency and we will continue to ensure the system remains secure.
